Jenna's fourth show
Craziness had been building up inside me ALL day, and then I was walking into the grandstand tent, ALONE! Jessie and Joanie were stuck at home babysitting, and I
was the lucky one waltzing into the BMX tent, but the sad thing was that my brothers would soon be following, and I would have to tone it down so that I did not
embarrass them.
When I walked in there was a bus load of school kids, just sitting around (in OUR tent! The cheeky little things!LOL!), waiting for Keith.
The kids were some science fair group that were going to be getting a free mini show from the guys, but before that we all had to sit through some guy talking about
how all the BMX guys were wearing all the proper safety equipment. Through this whole talk I was looking around, and watching as the guys goofed off behind the
ramp.
Then Keith came out, talking to the kids, and Jeremy, Brian (on a skateboard! instead of the skates), Jaren, Mike, Don, Matt Yoder, and Josh came out onto the
ramp. They pulled some of their usual cool tricks, and then (thank goodness!) the kids left. Which is also when my brother Jeremy came into the tent, he wouldn't
even sit next to me, he sat behind me, because he knew I would be rather embarrassing!
The show started off really well (of course!) and that's when my brother probably wanted the ground to open up and swallow him, because not only was I terribly
embarrassing, constantly yelling out the guys names, or just screaming nothing in particular, but when Keith asked "has anyone here been to one our shows
before?" I yelled like crazy, and Keith turned to me and said "Not you! I know you've been here before." thus finishing my brother's anguish
(brothers, what do they know anyway?!?!)
I don't remember too much of the rest of the show, just that Mike did some pretty incredible tricks (what else is new?), and I will always remember that my brothers
were in agony over their sister (my brother Joe showed up mid-show, but... better late than never I suppose!), which is actually a big comfort (LOL!.)
After the show I waited a little while (with Joe and Jeremy standing off to the side, trying to decide if they should ditch me, and hopefully escape notice, or if they
should face their shame (?) like men.
Then when everybody had cleared away I walked up to the signing table, where the most memorable conversation was when Mike tried his hand (unsuccessfully, and
quite jokingly!) at matchmaking. I had walked over to Josh, and said something about how it was cool that he was home-schooled, because I was too, at which time
Mike jumped in with a couple more questions, and decided that Josh and I had a lot in common, and we should have gotten together.
Josh (being already happily married) tried to change the subject, but Mike was too busy teasing him. We were laughing pretty hard, although I must say Josh looked
a little irked at Mike after that!
Sadly I didn't stay long because my poor wretched brothers were waiting impatiently by the door, so this is all I have to tell, but it was definitely a GREAT show!
